Siegel Special Reserve Viognier has a pale yellow color with green tones. The nose is quite intense with superb notes of white peach, grapefruit and floral expression. On the palate, the wine is balanced, persistent and it has an excellent acidity.
The Siegel Special Reserve Viognier goes well with thai food or fish cooked in sauce.
"Golden straw color. Aromas and flavors of peach gummies, tinned pears, hints of juniper, bay, and steamed rice with a supple, crisp, dryish light-to-medium body and an even, medium-length finish evoking notes of dried apple with a suggestion of oak flavor. An easy-drinking Viognier for everyday indulging."

"Varietally correct aromas of white flowers, honey and lemon verbena set up a medium-weight palate with bright acidity and good overall balance. Spunky flavors of green grapes are offset by a slight banana-like sweetness. Consider this right for curries and other spicy foods. - MICHAEL SCHACHNER"

"Brimming with peach and floral aromas, this is is ripe enough with crisp acidity for this grape variety. Good length, too. This should be good for at least a couple of years. Drink or hold. Screw cap."

"This is a great value in Viognier. The Special Reserve has a ripe citrus note, but the palate has better typicity, revealing white stone fruit, apple, and minerals with a full, creamy texture. Very fresh and appealing. A part of the wine goes through a period of ageing in French oak for 3 months."

"Light apricot perfume, crabapples and plenty of dill. Medium-to-full body, a round, generous body that's surrounded by fresh acidity all the way to the peach-pit finish. Drink now. Screw cap."

"Pale yellow-gold. Fresh peach, tangerine and candied ginger on the fragrant nose; suggestions of dusty minerals and white flowers build in the glass. Silky and open-knit, offering juicy citrus and pit fruit flavors and a deeper honey nuance. A quinine note adds a refreshingly bitter quality to the nicely persistent finish, which shows good focus and cut. - Josh Raynolds"
