"Ebulliently fruity and direct, the 2022 Tavel Le Crétacé leaps from the glass to offer scents of cherries, watermelon and ripe peaches. It's medium to full-bodied, concentrated and flavorful, with a long, mouthwatering finish. It's one of the best Le Crétacé bottlings I can remember, a blend of 60% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 10% each Cinsault and Mourvèdre. - Joe Czerwinski"

"Jaume's 2021 Tavel Le Crétacé is another solid effort from this reliable producer. A blend of 60% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 10% each Cinsault and Mourvèdre, it offers up scents of raspberries and white peaches, melons and limes. It's medium to full-bodied but taut, even a bit chalky in texture across the palate, but long and mouthwatering. Tasty stuff. - Joe Czerwinski"

"Light siam color. Aromas of macerated strawberries, fresh raspberry, blackberry, and raspberry leaf with a silky, lively, dry medium body and a tingling, delightful, medium-long creme fraiche and cherry relish finish with no oak flavor. A structured Rosé, deep in color and flavor, that is very food friendly."

"Freshly picked red cherries and strawberries are etched by tangs of salt and crushed mineral in this vibrant blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre. Full bodied but spirited, it's a zesty Tavel that's quaffable by the pool but solid enough to accompany grilled lamb or beef. - ANNA LEE C. IIJIMA"

"Brilliant orange-pink. Mineral- and spice-inflected raspberry and blood orange aromas are complemented by a suave lavender nuance. Smooth and focused on the palate, offering concentrated red berry and citrus fruit flavors braced by a spine of juicy acidity. Shows excellent tenacity on the mineral-tinged finish, which leaves a hint of candied flowers behind. All stainless steel. - Josh Raynolds"

"This impeccably run estate makes great wines from throughout the Rhône Valley, and their rosés are always terrific. The 2019 Tavel Le Crétacé has a complex bouquet of wild strawberries, cherry blossoms, and spring flowers. This carries to a medium-bodied Tavel that has terrific overall balance, a clean, refreshing texture, and a crisp finish. It’s a richer, balanced, dry rosé geared for the dinner table. I’d be happy to have it on my table any time over the coming 6-12 months."

"Lean and focused, the Le Crétacé rosé from Tavel reveals pomegranate and red cherry skin on the nose. Distinctly dry on the palate with a firm acidic backbone, pure flavors, and a lingering finish. A superb pairing with roast salmon. A blend of 60% Grenache, 30% Syrah and 10% Mourvèdre made saignée method with no malo. 14.5% alc"

"The most interesting rosé from Jaume is the company's 2018 Tavel Le Crétacé, a blend of 60% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 10% each Cinsault and Mourvèdre, sourced from a single supplier. Berry-scented, floral and fun, it's medium to full-bodied, even a bit creamy on the palate, then fresh, zesty and spicy on the long finish, Tasted twice (once blind), with consistent notes. - Joe Czerwinski"

"Star bright light red. This rosé shows better balance than many Tavel wines. It offers fresh red cherries and berries on the nose and beautiful, pure fruit on the palate with firm acidity. The finish is long, rich and dry. Moderate alcohol and a super food wine. Made saignée style. 13.5 alc"

"The medium to full-bodied 2017 Tavel Le Crétacé is a plump, dark hued rosé, as required by the appellation. Berries and melon aromas and flavors mingle easily, while the finish picks a distinctly chalky sensation. It should drink well through the end of 2019. - Joe Czerwinski"

"Bold, ripe and juicy, this deeply hued rosé offers concentrated raspberry and red-cherry flavors accented by spice, toast and nut. It's luscious in mouthfeel, rimmed by a delicate whisper of tannins. A spicy, structured rosé, it would pair well with cold-weather fare and has enough staying power to last through the fall of 2019. - ANNA LEE C. IIJIMA"

"The 2017 Tavel Le Cretace is another winner from this estate. Dried strawberries, cherries, dried herbs, and floral notes all give way to a fresh, focused, vibrant rose that’s well worth the going price. This cuvée is 60% Grenache, 30% Syrah, and 10% Mourvèdre, brought up in tank. Drink it any time over the coming year."

"Like most Tavels, this is a dark rosé, almost a light red rather than pink. It's full bodied and ripe without being overdone, boasting seductive notes of crushed stone, dried spices, dried flowers and red berries that finish with a mouthwatering squirt of lime juice. - Joe Czerwinski"

"In its weight and richness allied to scents of garrigue and sun-warmed stones, this speaks of its Tavel terroir. The berry fruit is subdued, with spice, weight and warmth carrying the wine to a long finish."
