It's quite ripe, concentrated, powerful and oaky with black rather than red fruit and peat and graphite aromas. The palate is full-bodied with plenty of rough-hewn tannins and moderate acidity, and is in need of bottle age and/or powerful food. An XXL Priorat.
"This is a super ripe and fleshy ball of rich dark berries and plums with a super rich, long and fluid texture. Such length and depth of blackberry fruit here. Drink now."

"Dark, bright-rimmed ruby. Highly perfumed, mineral- and smoke-accented red and dark fruit preserve, baking spice and floral pastille aromas, along with hints of licorice and black tea. Gently chewy and focused on the palate, offering juicy cherry, blackberry and spicecake flavors that deepen and turn spicier as the wine opens up. Finishes impressively long and sappy, with a lingering floral nuance, well-integrated tannins and a jolt of smoky minerality. Raised in new and used barrels, 90% French and 10% American.- Josh Raynolds"

"Opaque ruby. Vibrant red berry and cherry aromas are complicated by notes of licorice, smoked meat and Asian spices. The lively, precise palate, displays intense black raspberry and bitter cherry flavors that put on weight and become spicier with air. Powerful yet lithe, this wine delivers outstanding clarity and persistence, with fine-grained tannins that build slowly and harmoniously in the glass. This wine was aged in a combination of new and used French and American oak barrels for one year. - Josh Raynolds"

"The wine whose name is often mistaken with the winery's name, the 2011 Mas Sinén Negre is a blend of Garnacha, Cariñena, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah matured for one year in barrel. It's quite ripe, concentrated, powerful and oaky with black rather than red fruit and peat and graphite aromas. The palate is full-bodied with plenty of rough-hewn tannins and moderate acidity, and is in need of bottle age and/or powerful food. An XXL Priorat. 5,000 bottles. - Luis Gutierrez"

"(made from a blend of garnacha, mazuelo, cabernet sauvignon and syrah): Inky purple. Powerful aromas of candied dark fruits, licorice, violet, vanilla and cola. Coats the palate with deep blackberry and bitter cherry flavors, with juicy acidity adding lift. At once rich and energetic, finishing with excellent clarity, smooth tannins and lingering sweetness. This fruit is certified agricultura ecologica, so full-on hippie.- Josh Raynolds"

"The 2010 Mas Sinen Negre is a blend of Garnacha, Carinena, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. It shows good depth, with abundant balsamic aromas mixing Mediterranean herbs with notes of violets and shiny black fruit. The palate is medium to full-bodied with some grip as the tannins are still quite lively and would benefit from some bottle aging. Drink 2015-2020. - Luis Gutiérrez"

"From the town of Poboleda, this blend of garnacha, carignan, cabernet sauvignon and syrah is concentrated and ripe, with ample sweet spice and minerality that bring complexity. A paradigm of a dense, imposing Priorat, it needs lamb stew or something equally powerful to match."

"The 2009 Mas Sinen Negre is a blend of 40% Carinena, 35% Garnacha, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Syrah from Poboleda, aged for 12 months in American and French oak. It has a ripe bouquet of black cherries, raspberry, soy and lavender with a slight smudge of alcohol. The palate is full-bodied and rich with mouth-gripping tannins, though fortunately there is just enough acidity to keep it in balance. The finish is dry and just a little coarse. This is a brawny, bold Priorat but one that is well-made by winemaker Toni Coca. Drink 2016-2025+ - Neal Martin"

"Dark and crusty aromas of black fruit, wild black truffles, coconut and lemon peel are pure Priorato, while the tight, tannic palate provokes salivation as it delivers firm black cherry, dark plum and citrusy (lemon) flavors. Finishes with coffee and coconut. The definition of a harmonious Priorat red. Drink from 2011 through 2016. M.S. "

"Mas Sinen’s 2007 Negre is a blend of 35% Garnacha, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Carinena, and 10% Syrah aged in mostly French oak for 12 months. Purple-colored, it delivers an alluring nose of mineral, espresso, pencil lead, lavender, Asian spices, black cherry, and blueberry. On the palate it is dense, concentrated, intense and incipiently complex. It has enough structure to evolve for 2-3 years and should drink well through 2022 if not longer."
