Elevation is 70-190 meters above Sea Level (both locations), Slope at both locations 25-30 %.
Schist Soil and wine comes from the South Side of the Lima River (Northern Portugal).
Lima Schist Vinho Verde displays subtle yet more complex aromas. Full bodied, persistent and engaging.
Fatty fish, white meats and desserts.
"The 2023 Encostas Do Lima Xisto Vinho Verde comes all from schist soils and is based on 100% Loureiro, and it too was brought up all in tank. It has a touch more stone fruit, ripe lemon, and crushed stone notes in a more medium-bodied, round, supple style that's absolutely delicious. It's perfect for near term drinking."

"The Schist, like its sibling, Granite, is a light and refreshing white wine in the style of Portugal’s vinho verde, with a little extra intensity than the category is known for. The Schist is expansive on the nose and palate, with creamy texture and fragrant flavors of orange blossom and mango. - Dave McIntyre"
