This beautiful, lightly spritzy, strawberry-colored rosé comes from 75% Souzao, 15% Borracal, and 10% Espadeiro:
This Vinho Verde Rose has a bright pink color, fresh aromas of strawberry and raspberry along with subtle notes of citrus. The palate indicates a youthful but elegant, well-balanced and fresh wine with a long, lingering finish.
Quite versatile food wine. Great with Portuguese dishes, such as tapenade, grilled fish or grilled shrimp. It is also excellent as an aperitif, on its own.
"Light, orangeflecked pink. Aromas and flavors of a fresh fruit salad of watermelon, strawberry, and banana. There’s a slight spritz on the attack with good concentration of flavor on a crisp, refreshing palate with just a hint of sweetness on the finish. Would make the perfect wine cooler mixed with ice and a fresh sprig of mint or other herb. A blend of 75% Souzao, 15% Borrocal, and 10% Espadeiro fermented in stainless steel and aged on the lees for 4 months. Produced by the large cooperative Adega de Ponte de Lima with some 2 thousand growers located in Lima, one of the subregions of Vinho Verde. 11% alc. We love both its low alcohol and exceptional value!- Don WINKLER"

"Labeled as “meio seco,” or medium dry, this wine carries just enough sweetness to soften the edge of acidity common to vinho verde wines from northern Portugal. This rosé is crisp and refreshing, with strawberry and melon flavors. Think of drinking cantaloupe juice with a splash of fizzy water. It’s a fine palate cleanser to start your evening, and a worthy partner to a light brunch or salty, briny appetizers such as olives or cured sausages. If you’re keeping track of the grape varieties you’ve tasted, this wine is souzão, borracal and espadeiro. The white from this label is also good. ABV: 11 percent. - Dave McIntyre"

"Very pale oeil-de-perdrix. With a nose of rosewater and red cherry skin, this rosé from the Minho region of Portugal is on the lighter end of the rosé spectrum. With a slightly spritzy mouth feel, it offers faint watermelon and cherry flavors on a light weight palate. The perfect sipping rosé to have by the pool on a hot summer day; serve with ice and a sprig of mint for a refreshing wine cooler. 75% Souzão, 15% Borracal and 10% Espadeiro aged on the lees for 4 months. The Adega de Lima is a cooperative of about two thousand growers located in Portugal’s oldest town, the charming Ponte de Lima. Fernando Lemos Gonçalves de Lima and Rita da Silva Araujo are the winemakers. - Don WINKLER"

"A refreshing, fruit forward, juicy effort that has a touch of effervescence, the 2015 Rose offers tons of ripe red fruits, flowers and spice in a medium-bodied, supple, ever so slighty off dry style. It will be incredibly versatile on the dinner table, and the sweetness will allow it to handle spicier foods as well. Drink it over the coming summer months. - Jeb Dunnuck"
