Located in the heart of the Loire Valley, in the Menetou-Salon appellation, Domaine des Brangers was founded by the Chavet brothers who are one of the most reknown winemaking families of the Menetou-Salon Appellation. They rebuilt the vineyard at the end of the 1970's with the aim of producing a quality wine while respecting tradition and nature. Antoine de la Farge took over the estate in 2019 with the greatest respect for what has been done by its predecessors and with the desire to maintain the identity of the domaine.
This 100% Sauvignon Blanc is crisp and refreshing with rich, ripe lime and grapefruit aromas. Elegant, beautifully rounded, harmonious and well-balanced, a mineral style and a smooth and long finish. It is ideal as an aperitif and a great match with shellfish, smoked and grilled salmon, goat cheese.
Ideal as an aperitif, any cooked fish such as smoked and grilled salmon, and with goat cheese.

"This wine is rich while also intensely herbal. The ripe fruits are still young, vibrant with acidity and a mineral texture. Give the wine a few months and drink from 2022. - ROGER VOSS"

"Fruity, lightly herbal and with ripe white-fruit flavors, this is textured wine. An edge of minerality brings out a tangy, zesty edge that merges into a softer aftertaste. Drink now. - ROGER VOSS"

"The outstanding 2017 Menetou Salon Blanc (100% Sauvignon Blanc) is a winner. Lovely honeyed citrus, pear, and a kiss of rocky mineral-like notes all flow to a medium-bodied, beautifully balanced, juicy white that has all kinds of charm and character. It’s going to be incredibly versatile on the dinner table and is well worth seeking out."

"This small appellation west of Sancerre produces a style of wine that is softer and cooler than its big-name neighbor. That makes for a wine, like this, that is charming and smooth when young, with its attractive citrus character rounded out. Drink now. - ROGER VOSS"
