La Plume du Peintre - "pen of the painter" - is only made in select years of excellent quality.
Golden color with green hints. Aromas of white fruits - peach, apricot, white flowers, acacia, verbena. The mouth is round, elegant and long; complex and intense. The finish is rich, with tension of the wood at the end of the mouth.
Fish in cream sauce; shellfish; poultry; fresh cheese
"Tasted a week before bottling, the 2017 Lirac Blanc la Plume du Peintre is a blend of five varieties and was barrel fermented and aged in new oak (six Saint-Martin barrels, to be precise). Honey and caramel notes adorn tropical fruit, with hints of pineapple and guava framed and supported by orange and lime zest. It's full-bodied and rich, with a long, lively finish. - Joe Czerwinski"
