Aromas and flavors of sautéed bell pepper and caramelized sweet onion, black olive and clove, cedar shavings, and smoky pork fat with a satiny, lively, dry medium body and an appealing, medium-length finish imparting nuances of red cherry, cedar and purple flowers, savory herbs and sautéed greens, and coffee rubbed grilled mushrooms with a suggestion of oak flavor. Earthy and distinctly Old World; complex enough to pair with an extravagant dinner but approachable enough to have on your average Tuesday evening."
