The wine boasts a youthful coral color and offers fruity notes of strawberry, cherry blossom and watermelon. Juicy and generous in the mouth, quenching and round with a nice balanced finish. Open ½ hour before serving and decanting is highly recommended.
It traditionally pairs well with fish, seafood, white meat and provencal dishes, such as Bouillabaisse (fish soup). It is also excellent with cheese and "international cuisine", spicy Indian, Chinese, Thai, Japanese cuisine.
"Bright orange. Mineral-inflected raspberry, nectarine and blood orange aromas are complemented by lavender and dusty mineral nuances. Gently chewy and focused on the palate, offering concentrated red berry and citrus fruit flavors supported by a spine of juicy acidity. Shows strong tenacity on the mineral-driven finish, which leaves behind a hint of candied flowers. - Josh Raynolds"

"This is a rich style of rosé, due to the high proportion of Mourvèdre in the blend and to the warm exposure of the vineyard. But it is balanced, the rich red fruits easily cut with acidity and with a touch of minerality. Drink the wine now. - Roger Voss"

"This is deep salmon pink with copper highlights and is all about the red fruits. There’s strawberry on the nose but without being at all jammy. In the mouth it's equally ripe and fruity, but it's a real wine - not a bubblegum rosé. It’s structured, with an edge of tannin and a zip of freshness to balance the fruit, and a long finish. - Sarah Jane Evans MW"

"From a great domaine, the 2017 Bandol Rosé (80% Mourvèdre and 20% Grenache) is, as always, made in a slightly richer style, and shows complex notes of cherries, garrigue, spice, and even a touch of earth. Medium-bodied, nicely textured, and length, it’s a rosé for the dinner table and will keep for another year or so."

"With 60% Mourvèdre, this blend is rich and spicy. It has great acidity, still fresh and accented by red and citrus fruits. Minerality and an herbal element come from the garrigue that surrounds the vines. The wine has certainly benefited from a year's aging."

"A solid effort from this seaside appellation, the 2014 Bandol Rose has lots of cherry blossom, watermelon, blackberry and floral characteristics to go with a medium-bodied, juicy and nicely balanced feel on the palate. One of the more fruit-driven rosés from Bandol, it nevertheless has some tannic grip and should drink nicely over the coming year.- Jeb Dunnuck"
