Cherytage is an evolution of the "Héritage" cuvee which now includes part of the Chéry plot - the remainder going to the "Vernon" bottling.
The wine is a pure expression ot the terroir. A deep and brillant golden color, the wine is charming and well-balanced offering an enticing nose of peach and apricot. Smooth and rich on the palate with great concentration and complex flavors supported by a hint of minerality that brings freshness and finesse to the wine. A long and elegant finish.
Salmon carpaccio, scallops, foie gras, pork loin with curry sauce, delicate Asian food, goat cheese.
"More nectarine than peach, this has real presence on the palate, and great freshness. Concentrated and intense, this has great salinity and impact and huge length, with a refreshing mineral edge. This is not a new cuvée, but rather an evolution of their cuvée Héritage. After a closer inspection of their plot boundaries, it transpired that their Chéry plot is actually partly in Vernon, partly in Chéry. So now they are bottling the Vernon part separately, and the remaining part of Chéry now goes into their cuvée Héritage from the 2021 vintage - hence the new name, Chérytage. - Matt Walls"

"The 2021 Condrieu Chérytage is a similar light gold and has a beautiful perfume of tart apricot, quince, honeyed flowers, and a touch of sappy herbs. Medium-bodied, pure, and balanced, it's another impeccably made Condrieu from this team with tons of character. It's going to benefit from 6-12 months of bottle age and should keep nicely through 2029."
