White gold color with silver or greenish reflections, shiny and soft.
Aromas suggest broom, acacia, green apple, lemongrass, citrus.
A fresh, dry, fruity, nervous wine with a good balance.
Very easy to associate with his very complete balance : grilled fish, creamy risottos, antipasti, salads, sushis, very pleasant at the aperitif.
"Pale, bright yellow-straw. Cool aromas of lemongrass, apple, pear, flowers, anise and wet stone. A step up in intensity and salty grip from the Mâcon-Villages, showing good tactile minerality and lift to its citrus fruit and fresh pear flavors. More delineated and flavorful than the 2015 version, which was a bit blurred by alcoholic warmth. Very good palate presence here. - Stephen Tanzer"

"Pale, bright yellow. Apple and ginger on the nose, with hints of white flowers and dusty stone; more precise than the estate's Mâcon-Villages. At once richer and more saline than the Mâcon-Villages, but quite dry in the mouth and less interesting than the nose suggests. Here, too, a note of menthol and elevated alcohol leave the finish with a slight burn, but there's more material and length here. - Stephen Tanzer"

"This wine has a great future, offering good acidity, crisp fruitiness and a tangy aftertaste. But in six months it will reveal a richer yellow fruits that will give it a rounded, ripe character. Wait until 2017.

"The 2014 Saint-Véran reveals creamy, buttery honeysuckle notes, good, crisp, zesty acidity and no evidence of wood, but a touch of white peach and pear in the finish. Drink it over the next several years."

"Pale yellow. Ripe peach, spices and a hint of butter on the nose and palate. Ripe, sweet and pliant; more concentrated than the Mâcon-Villages, showing a smoother texture and better acidity. In a round, fruity, slightly warm style, with a note of licorice. Not bad but a bit facile. - Stephen Tanzer"
