Hifflay GG, as it is referred to on the central part of the label, comes from un-grafted vines planted in 1895 in this Lieu-Dit forming a rocky sector above the Rothlay part of the vineyard. It offers a rather ripe nose made of poached pear, white melon, and citrusy elements. Vinified according to the strict production criteria of the Bernkasteler Ring classification, Riesling wines with the designation “Grosses Gewächs Bernkasteler Ring” represent a premium line of dry wines.
