Complex and fragrant nose of ripe fruits, spices, caramel, roasted notes and hints of nuts. Soft, round and velvety in the mouth. The subtle nuances of oak are balanced by a fresh acidity and tannic "œgrip" that culminate in a long, elegant, plumy finish.
This is a delicious dessert wine, and harmonizes particularly well with almonds, berries or dark chocolate. Pairs well with intense cheeses, blue cheese. It is excellent at the end of the meal. Seve slightly cool, especially on warm days.
"Medium red. Surprisingly fresh and red fruited for a 10 year old Tawny, there’s good balance and straightforward red fruit complemented by hints of roasted nuts and tobacco. Pair with less assertively flavored cheeses."
