"The 2021 Pouilly Fumé Génetin is a pretty and well judged Pouilly Fumé grown on limestone-rich soil. It's tangy, pure and has an attractive, tender mouthfeel. It has delicate flavors of nettle, boxwood, elderflower and citrus, and the acid balance is crisp yet well judged, which was no mean feat in this cooler year. Maker Marlene says that she did lots of work with the lees to build body and texture through the middle of this otherwise light bodied wine. - Rebecca Gibb"

 "There's something dramatic and campy about this ripe Pouilly-Fumé, as its explosion of flavors reminded me of rolling out a red carpet from a limo door, or a ballgown settling down after a waltz. Indeed, our panel found the finish to be the most exciting part about the wine, hiding passionfruit and cherimoya flavors behind its golden aromas. Bring it to dim sum to capitalize on its versatile balance of ripeness and acidity alongside the full spread."

"Tart citrus, earth, honey, and a touch of flinty minerality emerge from the 2017 Pouilly-Fume Genetin, which is all Sauvignon Blanc raised in stainless steel. It’s surprisingly rich and textured on the palate, with some serious oomph, yet has bright acidity and a clean finish. It’s an interesting wine that’s going to do well on the dinner table. I suspect it will be better in another 6-12 months and should keep for 3-4 years."
