The Enseigneres is the most renowned of the Puligny-Montrachet villages, thanks to its exceptional geographical and geological location, along with its close neighbors Bienvenues-Batard-Montrachet and Batard-Montrachet.
Displaying delightful, crisp, mineral aromas intertwined with toasty and vanilla notes. The result is a well-balanced and harmonious Puligny-Montrachet of great finesse and good ageing potential.
"The 2020 Puligny-Montrachet Les Enseignères has a delightful, clean and precise bouquet with vibrant citrus fruit, mirabelle and a touch of juniper. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, orange zest and apricot, poised and focused towads the finish that lingers in the mouth. Fine tension here. Excellent. - Neal Martin"

"The 2019 Puligny-Montrachet Les Enseignères comes from a single parcel, the last plot before you reach Chassagne-Montrachet. It has a bright nose of Granny Smith apples and freshly sliced pear. The palate is nicely balanced with a touch of flintiness, although coming after the Meursaults, it does feel a bit mean on the finish. - Neal Martin"

"The 2018 Puligny-Montrachet Les Enseignères has an attractive bouquet of lemon curd and orange blossom aromas. The palate is well balanced with good weight in the mouth, quite Chassagne-like in style, which is no surprise given that the vines abut that appellation. There is a nice touch of orange peel toward the precise finish. Drink over the next decade. - Neal Martin"

"The 2017 Puligny-Montrachet Les Enseignères comes from a 60-year old parcel that Hubert Chavy purchased at the beginning of the 1980s and essentially got it for free as part of an exchange. It used to be rented to other growers and lies just across the road from Chassagne. It has a fragrant bouquet with flecks of white chocolate and almond, like a pimped up version of the Les Femelottes. The palate is medium-bodied with a fine thread of acidity, vibrant and poised with a touch of salinity on the finish. Bon vin. - Neal Martin"

"The Enseignères is superb this year, with a classic bouquet of flowers, white peach and struck match. On the palate, the wine is intense, concentrated and tight-knit, with a deep core and brisk acids in a medium-full format. A lovely rendition of this superior village lieu dit. - William Kelley"
