A flour mill just nearby explains the origin of this cru bourgeois' name, which means "three mills". Already in its day, it attracted English and Dutch connoisseurs. History continues for this ruby-colored, subtle wine with its elegant bouquet of jammy red fruits. It is subtle and very round on the palate and has a long powerful finish.
Perfect with pizza, pasta, burgers but also grilled vegetables such as zucchinis.
"This offers some herbal notes with an array of red fruit and bell peppers. The palate has quite a taut build of fine tannins and delivers a sturdy, fine but firm texture at the finish. A blend of 45 per cent merlot, 40 per cent cabernet sauvignon and 15 per cent cabernet franc. Try from 2022."

"The 2016 Les Trois Moulins has a traditional cedar and pencil box scented bouquet, a little austere in the context of the vintage but well defined. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, well judged acidity, classic in style with graphite and cedar towards the finely sculpted finish. It is not going to win any "Wine of the Year" awards, but you will polish off a bottle at the dinner table. Tasted at the Cru Bourgeois tasting in London. - Neal Martin"

"This wine is made by the same wine team as neighboring Cambon la Pelouse, which gives it a fine pedigree. With rich black fruits shot through with mineral acidity, it's for aging and should be ready from 2022. - Roger Voss"

"Equally divided between Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon with a seasoning of Cabernet Franc, this richly perfumed wine is juicy and full of blackberry flavors. From the same ownership as Cambon la Pelouse and in the southern Haut-Médoc, the wine will age well. Drink from 2021. - Roger Voss"

"Nice cassis fruit but also a hint of tomato purée. This is well balanced, but the finish is a little green and simple. Drink now."

"The 2015 Chateau Trois Moulins is another good value from the 2015 vintage. A blend of 52% Merlot, 33% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 15% Cabernet Franc that was brought up in 30% new oak, it has a perfumed style in its menthol, eucalyptus, forest floor, and black cherry-driven aromas and flavors. These carry to a pretty, elegant, beautifully balanced effort that’s already drinking nicely yet should keep for 7-8 years."

"Produced by the same team as Château Cambon la Pelouse, this wine is already drinkable. With attractive black currant fruits and acidity, it is gently tannic with a dry core. The aftertaste is juicy and full of fruit. - RV"
