Pinot Noir is a beautiful wine. The Trione Russian River Ranch Pinot Noir is an excellent example of the variety. While Burgundian in origin, the Trione Pinot shows its Russian River boldness and perfect fruit expression. A great complexity of earthiness, fruit forwardness, and elemental boldness, this wine is very expressive. It lingers on the palate for a smooth, light to medium bodied mouthfeel.
Pair this with your favorite roasted duck or turkey dishes, dried fruits, hard cheeses, or drink on its own. Salute!
"TPerfumed and flavored with jasmine and black cherry, with an essence of dark chocolate and patchouli. Exotic and haunting, with a marvelous, silky mouthfeel."

"A savory and mossy pinot noir with racy berries, licorice and ash. Some coca cola, too. This is deep and decadent with some dried roses and wet earth on the palate and some darker fruit and herbs in the lengthy finish. Drink or hold."

"This has broadened out, offering an enticing wave of mulled blood orange and mulberry fruit flavors infused with red tea, dried anise, menthol and savory notes. Features lingering tension on the finish, despite the mature profile. Drink now through 2024. Tasted twice, with consistent notes."

"I loved the nose on the 2016 Pinot Noir River Road Ranch. This is a complex, nuanced Pinot Noir with plenty of spiced red fruits as well as subtle bay leaf, bouquet garni, spice, and new leather aromas a and flavors. With a very Côte de Beaune-like vibe, drink this medium-bodied, elegant, incredible satisfying Pinot Noir over the coming 7-8 years."

"An attractive red with strawberry and chocolate character. Full-bodied, round and fruity. Rather ripe style. Drink now."

"A brashly oaked, modern style that has ample spice and meaty, youthful complexity on the nose. The palate has a wealth of neatly detailed tannins and plush, dark fruit, laced with attractive oak spice. Drink or hold."

"Pale to medium ruby-purple colored, the 2015 Pinot Noir River Road Ranch opens with notes of crushed black cherries, mulberries and raspberry tart with a wonderfully spicy undercurrent of cinnamon toast and allspice notions. Medium to full-bodied, it gives a lovely savory character in the mouth with soft tannins and background acid, finishing with all those spices coming through. 1,269 cases produced."
