An exciting New World style wine with upfront blackcurrant flavors. The black fruit is well-balanced with subtle French oak for a complex nose and an elegant and lingering follow-through. An exceptional example of a medium style Cabernet Sauvignon that can be enjoyed while still young.
Served at room temperature, this Cabernet Sauvignon pairs perfectly with red meat dishes, especially classic recipes like roasted leg of lam, grilled lamb chops and beef kebabs.
"Bright dark garnet black color. Fruity, smoky aromas and flavors of grilled berries, marinated cucumbers, mixed peppercorns, and caraway with a silky, vibrant, fruity medium body and a tingling, appealing, breezy toffee, toasted cedar, and earth finish with chewy, fine, coating tannins and light oak. A smoky, crunchy cabernet with ample tannins."

"A blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Shiraz, the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon offers tobacco leaf, red berries and blackcurrants, a light, subtle use of oak that stays in the background, and notes of baking spices. Drink it over the next several years."

"The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon (85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Shiraz) is made in the same round, light to medium-weight style displaying elegant red and black currant fruit as well as a hint of oak. While there is not much body, the wine offers a pleasant, silky mouthfeel. It, too, should be consumed over the next 1-2 years. Riebeek Cellars, located on the western coast of the Cape Province of South Africa, was established over 70 years ago. These wines are meant to be consumed early in life, and therefore the focus is on unmanipulated, unadulterated, straightforward, abundant fruit."
