Chateau Diana, a medium sized winery located in Sonoma County, California, was founded in 1981 by Tom and Diane Manning, following Tom’s rapid sales growth and early successes within the wine industry. Tom, Diane and their eldest son Craig found a permanent home for Chateau Diana in 1983 when they purchased 60 acres in the Dry Creek Valley called LeBaron Ranch. The Mannings continued to keep the business in the family, with daughter Dawn running their Southern California sales office and their other son Corey joining the business in 1991.
Chateau Diana experienced upheaval between 1999 and 2001 with the unexpected loss of Craig, beloved family member and winemaker. Throughout the turmoil of such a devastating loss, Dawn, Corey and Craig’s wife, Donna continued to soldier through necessary expansions to their winery facility and continue the growth of Chateau Diana. In early 2003, the Manning family brought on Dawne Sacchetti as winemaker. Dawn approaches winemaking “with the logic of a scientist and the curiosity of an adventurer”. Chateau Diana emanates the family conviction of dedication and commitment to hard work – the key to their past success, and way into the future as Chateau Diana continues its legacy with its third generation.
