"The 2014 Fleurie undergoes 11-day skin maceration, 50% of the grapes de-stemmed and 80% aged on foudre. It has quite a "punchy" nose with macerated small red cherries and blueberry, mixed with light ash scents. The palate is medium-bodied with supple, ripe tannin and well-judged acidity. I like the harmony here, stylistically equidistant between traditional and modern Beaujolais, pulled off with some style. Neal Martin "
