"(14.5% alcohol; aged for 12 months in French oak): Healthy medium red. Pungent aromas of black raspberry, cassis, redcurrant, mocha and licorice, with some distinct Cabernet leafiness. Fine-grained, suave wine with noteworthy intensity and well-judged extraction. Some leafy and peppery notes add to the wine's complexity without overshadowing its dark fruit flavors. Finishes with slightly dusty, herbal tannins, notes of licorice and herbs and very good rising length. This nicely sappy 2014 is still youthfully wound up and needs another year or two in bottle. It should age well. - Stephen Tanzer"
