"Pale, bright lemon-yellow. Pungent aromas of lemon zest, toast and subtle baking spices, plus a suggestion of redcurrant. Dense, supple and fine-grained, with its lovely citrus and white peach and subtle smoky oak flavors conveying a seductive umami texture that should make it versatile at the dinner table, especially considering its energy. A very substantial and impeccably balanced vintage for this distinctive Chardonnay/Semillon blend, showing lovely subtle sweetness and salinity to its persistent flavors of fruits, flowers and spices. This may well go on for longer than my projected drinking plane suggests, but it's awfully good right now. (aged in new French oak for 14 months) - Stephen Tanzer"
