"(90% tempranillo and 10% cabernet sauvignon; aged for 12 months in new French oak): Opaque ruby. High-pitched aromas of redcurrant, cherry, tobacco and smoky minerals, with a sexy vanillin oak quality emerging with aeration. Juicy and precise, with bitter cherry and rose pastille flavors given spine by tangy acidity. Supple tannins come up slowly on the finish, which leaves spicecake and candied red fruit notes behind. I particularly like the interplay of oak and fruit here."
