"The 2016 'Cuvée de la Reine des Bois' is a fabulous showing in this vintage. Composed of 80% Grenache, 10% Mourvèdre, 5% Syrah and a dash of Vaccarese and Counoise from 60 year-0ld vines. The fruit was de-stemmed prior to a long maceration and 30-day fermentation with temperature control. The final result is a simply fantastic wine which being with exotic aromas of dark berries, plums, cassis, moroccan spices, fresh cut florals hints of fresh coffee bean. On the palate this possesses a gorgeous medium body with wonderful freshness and bright acidity, as well as remarkable concentration and overall structured. It continues to display striking elegance and purity all they way up to the ultra-long finish. While this already shows flashes of brilliance it will ultimately need some extended bottle age before it shows its best stuff. - J. D'Angelo"
