"Much better was the 2012 Albariño de Fefiñanes III Año, a wine from a warm, ripe vintage. It aged in contact with the lees with bâttonage for almost three years, hence its name. The nose combines freshly cut grass, musky apple and some spices and smoky/leesy sensations. The palate is fuller than any of the 2013s tasted next to it, with ripe flavors of yellow fruit and good balance."
