Les Charmes de Daix is produced from 6 different parcels (1 hectare total), planted on clayey soils and chalky rock sub-soils. Half of the vineyards is located in the commune of Daix and provides great finesse, while those from the commune of Gevrey bring structure to the wine. This Bourgogne red is fresh and fruity, elegand and generous, offering an aromatic persistence of red and black fruit aromas. It is well-balanced, with a good structure and a nice finish.
Fish, white meat, poultry.
"Morello cherry on the nose of this wine immediately suggests aromatic freshness. The slender palate has warmth and adds darker, riper black-cherry notions. Freshness, purity and charm make this wine wonderfully approachable. It will also work slightly chilled. - ANNE KREBIEHL MW"
