The wine is produced in the lieu-dit “Les Burdelines”, which belongs to the 18 'climates' registered by the National Institute for Designations of Origin.
Cru Moulin-à-Vent is called the “King of Beaujolais” and is known to age the longest and be the most tannic. Measuring 660 hectares (1,630 acres) in size, there are 280 examples of this AOC on the market.
Intense color between garnet and deep ruby. Red fruit nose with floral, smoky and forest notes. The mouth is rich and well structured. In a few years the aromas will evolve towards more spice, musk and venison
Enjoy with game, red meat and strong cheeses.
"This solid, structured wine has a firm backdrop of tannins. It offers concentration, with black, juicy fruits and a bold texture. Drink the wine from 2024. - Roger VOSS"

"The 2015 Moulin A Vent les Burdelines undergoes the same vinification as the Fleurie. I love the aromatics here: detailed redcurrant, mulberry and rose petal aromas that burst from the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, very supple in the mouth with great tension and just the right amount of spiciness on the vivacious finish. What a great Beaujolais. This comes highly recommended.- Neal Martin "

"Deep ruby. Aromas of cherry and dark berries are complicated by hints of licorice, succulent herbs and violet. Chewy and focused on the palate, offering sappy, smoke-tinged blackberry and bitter cherry flavors that display very good depth and energy. A hint of gaminess emerges on the long, appealingly sweet and youthfully tannic finish, which leaves behind a juicy dark fruit note. - Josh Raynolds "

"The 2014 Moulin-à-Vent les Burdelines has a refined, serious bouquet with subtle briary and woodland scents infusing the dark berry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, a gradual build in the mouth toward a bright and vivacious dark cherry and cranberry finish that feels long and harmonious. This is a lovely Moulin-à-Vent to enjoy over several years.- Neal Martin "

"The 2012 Moulin-a-Vent Les Burdelines includes 20% whole cluster fruit and the 2012 was aged 20% in barrel, 20% in tank and 60% in foudres. It has a ripe and generous bouquet with mulberry, dark cherry and a touch of vanilla originating from the oak. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp tannins and a fine line of acidity. This is very focused with impressive precision toward the finish and plenty of freshness. Just give it a year for the aromatics to settle. Drink 2015-2022. - Neal Martin "
