Sekai Itto is the producer for our Yuz Me Sake.
Sekai Itto started brewing Sake in 1884 at their Kura located in Wakayama, Japan. Their name stands for "Unifying the sake world".
"Minakata" is the family name, named for the Kuramoto who is the brewery owner. The son of the founder of the Kura, Kumagusu Minakata, is a well-known biologist who studied fungi and algae. In sake making, all Kura’s deal with Koji mold and Yeast. Therefore Kumagusu's past studies helpedto improve Sekai Itto's sake quality.
They are located in the Wakayama prefecture. Wakayama is one of the best locations to grow fruits in Japan. It is located in a hilly area near Osaka prefecture. The warm climate is the key to growing quality Yuzu and other citrus fruits.
