Denis Carré and his wife founded the estate in 1975 in the village of Meloisey, in the Hautes Cotes de Beaune. Over the years, Denis has acquired parcels on different terroirs that he knows perfectly. The construction of a tank room and an aging cellar provided the space needed to expand the estate. Their children Martial and Gaetane took over the estate in 2008. Martial is the winemaker - he studied at the Lycee Viticole in Beaune.
The vineyard spreads over 13 hectares that are located on the most famous hillsides in Burgundy. Significant work is carried out in the vineyards to obtain quality grapes:
- Lutte raisonnée
- Ploughing
- Manual leaf removal
Yields are controlled through disbudding and thinning if necessary
Manual harvest.
The wines are aged in French oak barrels for 10 to 15 months and estate-bottled.
