"Coming from a single vineyard and a blend of 50% Carignan, 20% Mourvedre, 20% Grenache and 10% Syrah, the 2015 Faugeres La Catiede offers a perfumed, floral, almost tropical perfume of iris flowers, plums, black pepper, and Asian spices. Opening up beautifully with time in the glass, this medium-bodied red has a supple, elegant texture, nicely integrated acidity, and present, edgy tannin that lend plenty of cut and length on the finish. It's well worth checking out and will drink nicely through at least 2022."
