The Bryson family established Mt. Monster wines in 2005 with pristine fruit from their cool climate vineyard at Padthaway. Environmentally friendly viticulture, hand pruned, low yielding mature vines, grown on terra rossa soil and exceptional fruit are how they consistently produce outstanding wines. Modern winemaking and minimal processing is employed to ensure the purity, integrity, texture and flavor from the vineyard.
Mt. Monster is a unique, rocky granite outcrop with panoramic views over the Limestone Coast, north of Padthaway.
Bright straw color, with lime green hue. Aromas of melon, peach and citrus fruit. Similar flavors on the palate with a crisp finish. Although it may benefit from 2+ years maturation in bottle, this wine is best consumed when young and fresh.

"Clear straw green color. Aromas and flavors of lemon curd and lemon cream, french bread toast points, and green apple with a satiny, lively, dry medium body and a tingling, delightful, medium-length finish that shows suggestions of lemon cream on a croissant, green apple, pineapple juice, and white flowers with a suggestion of oak flavor. Needs a bit of air to open up, but with that comes a nice balance of orchard fruit and citrus with aromas of biscuits and cream."

"Lemon curd marks the nose of the 2017 Chardonnay, a light to medium-bodied quaffer that emphasizes citrusy freshness. Drink it over the first couple of years. - Joe Czerwinski"

"This has a crisp, cruchy freshness, with a silky texture and a touch of creamy, lees-enriched flavor, lasting on seashell-like minerality. A great oyster wine."
