"(made from three parcels from different terroirs; vinified partly in piècesand demi-muids from one to five years of age): Bright yellow. Sexy spicy oak lifts the aromas of soft citrus zest and clove; shows more of a yellow-fruit ripeness than the 2016 Saint-Véran bottlings. Nicely concentrated, generous Pouilly-Fuissé with good spicy cut and acid spine. Offers a good combination of depth and energy, not to mention subtle complexity. Finishes spicy and persistent, but give this wine until next summer to harmonize more fully. The yield here was barely 30 hectoliters per hectare in 2016, according to Richard Martin. - Stephen Tanzer"
