"The 2012 Julienas “Les Bottieres” comes from granite and schist soils. It is a small production from the family’s 0.8-hectare holding of 50-year-old vines and it is aged in one wooden foudre. It has an expressive bouquet with floral scents infusing the cranberry and red currant fruit that is well-defined and vivacious. The palate is medium-bodied with fine, supple tannins that are impressive for the vintage, with plenty of chewy red berry fruit lining the satisfying finish. Drink now-2019. - Neal Martin "
