Its long finish displays full mature flavors of blackberry, currant and chocolate with just a hint of toasty oak and black cherry. The tannins are refined and polished, allowing the fruit to be the focus.
Serve this Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon with a variety of bold preparations ranging from Osso Bucco to grilled red meats and cheeses.
"Burly black fruit and enduring earthiness combine around chalky tannin and considerable power in this ripe full-bodied wine. A note of sweet tobacco lingers on the oaky finish.

"A 2012 Napa Valley cabernet for under $40, Rubus is an absolute steal. Ripe blackberry, currants and nuances of tobacco and vanilla on the palate. The finish is long and impressive with notes of chocolate and black cherries. Finishes with just a touch of fine silky tannins."

"A very pleasant Cabernet Sauvignon. Appeared garnet, almost purple in color, and was transparent. A medium amount of moderately fast legs. On the nose there was vibrant fruit with strawberry, plum, and blackberry. On the palate black cherry was prominent, along with plum and blackcurrant. There were mild tannins throughout with a quick finish. A medium to full bodied wine."
