Produced from a selection of 8 different parcels that spread over 5.23 hectares planted on clay and limestone based soils. This brilliant pale yellow colored wine offers notes of litchi and citrus fruits. On the palate, minerals and lemon mint enhance the crunchiness of the wine. Fresh, supple and harmonious. A nice persistence in the mouth.
Excellent as an aperitif and pairs well with grilled fish and Asian food.
"While this wine is not expressive at this stage, the generous fruits and freshness will come out as it develops. Expect to taste the ripe red apples and richness. Drink from 2022. - ROGER VOSS"

"Richard and Stéphane Martin farm their 54-acre domaine organically, certified since 2006. Their 60 parcels, all in the town of Davayé, include 12 acres designated as Mâcon, where they grow this light and delicate white. It has the floral scent of fresh cream and a range of citrus flavors, from pink grapefruit to lemon and orange, that citrus acidity carrying a limestone message into the finish. Pour it with salmon rillettes."

"(from vines averaging 40 years of age, located next to the winery; 100% done in cuve): Pale yellow. Lovely lift to the aromas of crunchy citrus fruits and apple, herbs and flowers. Not a particularly fleshy style but juicy and moderately intense, showing attractive spicy cut to its pink grapefruit and lemon flavors complicated by exotic fruits. Less deep than the estate's Saint-Véran, from soil with a stronger clay content.- Stephen Tanzer"

"Gingery and warm, this gentle Mâcon has the meatiness of a veal stock, adding fullness and some complexity to its grape flavors. Chill it for country pâté."

"Full and ripe, this wine also has good acidity that gives a lively edge to the yellow-fruit flavors. Along with the peach and apricot fruits, it presents refreshing crispness. The aftertaste delivers a great lift of acidity."
