"The 2017 Barolo has an expressive bouquet of dried cherry, violets, cinnamon, and crushed earth. On opening, its somewhat volatile notes up front do blow off and would benefit from decanting. Ripe and inviting, the palate is rich with red plum, black tea, and incense. A great entry Barolo from Giacomo Fenocchio that speaks to the high-quality potential of the vintage, it is approachable now or hold 3-5 years. Drink 2021-2036. - Audrey Frick"
