Due to warm, dry conditions in the Swartland, this Sauvignon Blanc is a more tropical style of Sauvignon Blanc. The vineyards are planted on cooler sites where there is some cool, maritime influence from the West Coast. This achieves a style of wine that has delicate green notes, complimented by yellowstone and tropical fruit, a touch of minerality and a crisp, lively acidity.
Very refreshing on its own and lovely with crisp salads, light seafood dishes, tapas, steamed green asparagus and aioli.

"Bright, expressive aromas of green apple, lemon and zest lime pith. Fine and ripe with clear green fruit."

"A real winner, the slightly exotic 2013 Sauvignon Blanc exhibits notes of tropical fruits such as mango in addition to melon and caramelized grapefruit. The zesty acidity, medium-bodied mouthfeel and purity of fruit (no oak is utilized) make this a delicious Sauvignon to drink over the next year. There is a touch of roasted herbs in this wine, but it is very subtle and under control. Riebeek Cellars, located on the western coast of the Cape Province of South Africa, was established over 70 years ago. These wines are meant to be consumed early in life, and therefore the focus is on unmanipulated, unadulterated, straightforward, abundant fruit."
