WeatherEye Vineyard - steep slope of High Canyon block.
Intensely aromatic and complex on the nose with notes of honeysuckle, waxy white peach, green apple, earthy vanilla, fresh hawthorn, and hints of jasmine, tarragon, and mace. The palate shows a great tension between palate-coating richness and mouth-watering acidity, with a lot of Asian pear, crunchy Snow Queen nectarine, exotic white flowers, walnut oil, and hints of oyster shell. Long and floral on the finish, this wine is extremely complex and interesting for drinking over the next 5 or so years.

"More of a whisper than a shout, but with much to say, the 2021 Viognier WeatherEye Vineyard High Canyon Series blossoms with raw almond, white flowers and candied ginger, complementing vivid apricot and lime aromas. Silky and enveloping, this washes across the palate in creamy textural waves showing ripe orchard fruits and candied citrus tones. The 2021 becomes mineral through the finale, leaving the mouth watering as savory spice nuances slowly fade. This is an outstanding interpretation of Viognier from one of the Red Mountains' most exciting locations. - Eric Guido"

"From a vineyard with a burgeoning cult following, this Viognier shows nuance and freshness, balancing plenty of depth. Aromas of white hawthorn flowers balanced against notes of Spanish olive skinand almond notes. The palate is fresh and lively, yet plenty phenolic. Flavours of pear skin, savoury herbs, and seaspray make way for roasted almond flavours and a depth of intensity on the finish accented by grilled lemon peel."
