With its deep ruby color and aromas of ripe fruit, the early senses offer comforts of a quintessential California Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine opens with a subtle yet surprising coastal structure, with notes of cooking herbs, violets, and mocha. The tannins begin to dance with pops of anise, black cherry and aged leather, and the finish is decadent, balanced and lasting. Pairs well with a hard day of work.

"A very California style cabernet that gushes with jammy blackberry and blueberry scents and flavors and is drenched in graphite, lavender and licorice, cassis, cedar and smoke; the color is a dense ruby-magenta that shades to an ethereal rim; bright acidity powers through dusty, velvety tannins to a long slightly loamy and gritty finish; foremost are those ripe, juicy black fruit flavors. 14.8 percent alcohol. I’ll confess that this is not my favorite mode of cabernet; I prefer something more reticent, something calmer. Those who dote on the fashion, however, will find much to like here, so I rate it accordingly. Excellent. - Fredric KOEPPEL"

"Deep, dark color. Earthy nose, rich and dense with smooth texture and ripe plum fruit, tangy balanced and complex, long, lush and likable."

"Aromas and flavors of menthol, cedar and sawn oak are tightly squeezed by firm tannins in this full-bodied, concentrated and lavishly oaked wine. Best from 2024.- Jim GORDON"
