"Coming from 25-year-old Merlot vines and brought up in a mix of tank and French oak, the 2016 Merlot Sonoma Coast offers some classic cherry and currant fruits as well as notes of dried earth and herbs, medium body, and a supple, forward, enjoyable texture. It’s not groundbreaking, but it has good fruit and is an enjoyable Merlot to drink over the coming 3-4 years."
