"Another mountain Cabernet, the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Wall Road Vineyard from Mt. Veeder, reveals beautiful raspberry, blueberry and floral notes and sweet tannin in a complex style. The wine has loads of fruit, not a great deal of body, but enough to qualify as a medium-bodied wine, with soft tannins in the finish. One rarely sees a quintessentially elegant wine from Mt. Veeder, as most of them tend to be blockbusters, but this certainly qualifies. It has an attractive personality, and the finish is long and reassuring. This is a beauty to drink now and over the next 10-15 years – a sleeper of the vintage."
