Intense ruby red color. An expressive nose of balsamic and flower (rose) notes. On the palate it is rich and fine, with flower and spice notes, soft tannins and good length. A nice expression of this variety.
"A variety you don’t often see on its own, the 2017 Carménère is a terrific, character-filled effort that offers peppery herbs, tobacco, and earthy darker fruits in a medium-bodied, nicely balanced and textured package. It has plenty to like, a good texture, and should keep nicely for 2-4 years."
