"These releases are made by Thomas Rivers Brown. The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Spence Vineyard comes from a site in the Dry Creek Valley and reveals a deep purple color as well as a pure bouquet of currants, cassis, spice box, tobacco, and earth. I love its balance, and it has full-bodied richness, ripe tannins, and a dusty, mineral-like character on the finish. I'd be thrilled to drink bottles any time over the coming 10-15 years."

The wine is full-bodied, with sweet tannin (characteristic of all of these Kinsella Cabernet Sauvignons). Readers know that sometimes Dry Creek Cabernets can be rustic in their tannic framework, but that is not the case here. - RP"
