"From a site on the eastern side of Hermitage hill consisting of more sedimentary and limestone soils, the 2017 Hermitage Les Dionnières has a classic, old school vibe in its crème de cassis, black raspberry, green olive, and building minerality. This medium to full-bodied effort has good density of fruit, fresh, vibrant acidity, and one serious kick of tannins on the finish. It's going to need 3-4 years of bottle age but will be a classic, complex Hermitage that will keep for 10-15 years."
